Postcard from… Albufeira, Algarve

A beautiful find from a holiday in the Algarve.

Spotted in the Old Town of Albufeira, a town on the Atlantic coast.

I have been trying to find out what this place is exactly but no luck so far…

  • Hello
I came across a post asking about the Translators House in Albufeira, and if you still wondering about it, here goes.
This was a project, back in the end of the 90s, from Anabela Cipriano, who among other things was a translator. In the ground floor apartment of our family house, she wanted to create a sort gathering place for translators, writers and philosophers to share and work.
Unfortunately, my mother’s health conditions halted the project, and she passed away in 2009.
My 90 year-old grandmother still lives in the top floor and rents the ground floor, if you pass by, just say hello.
    Best regards,
    João

    • Hi João,
Great to hear from you. What a lovely comment. I hope to be back in Albufeira some day…
Best wishes to you and your grandmother,
      Monika
